My plan is to have like an outer vase around the tower to hide the white pipe. The media is going to be LECA but the whole structure will need to be weighted down with some heavy pebbles to avoid it from tipping over.
I'll be working on this piece for the next few weekends and I am very excited to see how this goes!
Before I get serious in Aquaponics I did made something similar, a vase with many holes in a bigger container for fish. Plants do grow, but that time I was just into water gardening with Pegaga and some water plants.

Freshwater fish are the most common aquatic animal raised using aquaponics due to their ability to tolerate crowding, although freshwater crayfish and prawns are also sometimes used. There is a branch of aquaponics fish using saltwater fish, called saltwater aquaponics.
